In short: legal descriptions and files you open in the checker never leave your browser. The site uses Google AdSense to show ads, and Google uses cookies to do that.
Descriptions and files
Everything you type, paste, or drop into the checker is read and computed in your own web browser. Word and PDF files are opened on your computer. None of it is sent to this site's server or to anyone else.
So your work is still there when you come back, the checker saves your current tracts and settings in your browser's local storage on your device. We cannot see it. Click Start over to clear it, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Emails you choose to send
The Suggest a feature and Report a misread links open an email in your own mail app. A misread report fills in the text you pasted so you can review and edit it first. Nothing is sent unless you send the email. If you do, we use your message and address only to answer you and improve the checker.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time from the privacy link in the consent message.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. The ads never have access to the descriptions or files you work with in the checker.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. This site does not run its own analytics or tracking scripts.
Children
The site is meant for professionals and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
